Established in 2007 by Fabio Trentini, a seasoned music producer and accomplished multi-instrumentalist, MOONBOUND emerged as a vessel for his visionary musical narrative. Infusing his compositions with a harmonious blend of nostalgia and innovation, Trentini unveiled three seminal albums under the MOONBOUND banner – "Confession & Release," "Peak Of Eternal Light," and "Uncomfortable News From The Moon" – earning accolades from audiences and critics alike on a global scale.
Collaborating with acclaimed luminaries such as Pat Mastelotto, Dave Gregory, Tim Pierce, and Tony Levin, MOONBOUND enraptured audiences worldwide, particularly in esteemed musical landscapes like the UK and US.
In 2022, MOONBOUND underwent a metamorphosis, evolving into a full-fledged band comprised of exceptional talents from the Italian prog-rock sphere. Featuring Alessandro Papotto on saxophone, clarinet, flute, and keyboards, Maurizio Masi on drums, and Matteo Ballarin on electric and acoustic guitars, alongside Trentini assuming roles as vocalist, bassist, and primary songwriter, the band ushered in a new era.
Their latest opus, "Back To Square Four," a collaborative effort co-produced by Markus Reuter (known for his work with Stick Men, Toyah, Devin Townsend), promises an immersive musical expedition that balances the familiar with the unexplored.
Anticipated for release in Summer 2024 under the banner of Unsung Records, the EP “Back To Square Four" offers a tantalizing glimpse into the boundless creativity and sonic enchantment that encapsulate the incomparable MOONBOUND experience.

Another stellar release from this long-lived ensemble. Though the King Crimson influence is obvious & that comparison unavoidable, these guys have made many great recordings that can't be categorized as 'mere copies'. The perfect balance of aggressive riffing and serene soundscapes.
